Optimum tyre pressure for all driving conditions
Your tyres are one of the many parts of your vehicle that enable it to run smoothly, but the amount of pressure in your tyres can also affect your car’s performance, depending on the conditions you’ll be driving in.
Normally, one would assume that the tyres of the car should always be fully inflated, but this isn’t true. There are certain times, however, that your tyre pressure shouldn’t be ‘fully inflated’.
During the summer months, as well as the warmer months, the tyres should indeed be kept fully inflated. However, some pressure or air should be let out if it’s during the winter months. This especially applies during times when the roads may be slick with ice and those times in the warmer months when the roads are wet and slick with rain.
Letting some of the air out of your tyres before driving on slick roads will improve the car’s grip and thus provide the optimum amount of tyre pressure and control on such roads.
If you are unsure about the optimum tyre pressure for the tyres fitted to your car and your driving conditions come in and talk to the team at A Grade Automotive.
